Titan Advantage Program: Jump Start Your College Career

What is TAP?

TAP-10webThe Titan Advantage Program (TAP) is an intensive program designed to provide you with all the secrets to success needed to make your journey to college the experience of a lifetime. The program runs for six weeks, from June 16 – July 26, on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus. TAP is designed for a select group of students, by invitation only. Through individualized instruction, TAP provides you with map of how to achieve success in college. TAP’s instructors and peer mentors invite you into a supportive community that will prepare you for a successful future.

The program includes FREE tuition, room and board and books!

 

Benefits To You:

  • A JUMP START. Earn four to six college credits by taking courses that enhance your math, writing, study and reading skills.
  • PROVEN SECRETS TO SUCCESS. Gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed: skills in studying and time management and strategies for test taking and goal setting.
  • CRUCIAL CONNECTIONS. Connect with instructors, advisers and peer mentors who will assist you in navigating college expectations.
  • PREPARATION FOR THE FUTURE. Explore majors, minors and career opportunities.

This Program Needs Students Who Will Commit To:

  • Dedicating themselves to personal and academic improvement.
  • Engaging energetically in the courses and activities.
  • Connecting meaningfully with peers, instructors and advisers.
  • Learning about and using resources that will aid in academic success.
  • Attending all courses, workshops and events connected to the program.
  • Studying for courses and completing assignments.

 

Students Are Eligible to Apply if They:

  • Will graduate high school before the start of TAP.
  • Will commit to participate in the full six-week program, including some Saturdays.
  • Have successfully completed UW System high school core unit requirements.
  • Have met UW Oshkosh admissions criteria and have committed to enrolling at UW Oshkosh for fall 2020.

 

To Apply to TAP, Follow These Steps:

  • Apply to UW Oshkosh.
  • Apply for Financial Aid now.
  • Complete the TAP interest form below no later than March 1, 2020.
  • Complete the required math and English placement tests.
