Craig Gruening ’82 and his wife Julie purchased Krail Jewelers in 1986. Craig had worked part-time at the store in Fond du Lac since 1976. The store was founded in 1922 by Irving Krail at its current Main Street location. In 1927, the store was moved into a new location on Main Street near Forest Avenue. The Great Depression hit and the store moved back to this original location. The store has undergone several remodels.

Craig is a graduate of UW Oshkosh with a BBA in Operations Management. Gruening is also a GIA gemologist, AGS certified gemologist and an AWCI certified clockmaker. Visit Krail Jewelry’s website to learn more.
