This is a game-like activity that capitalizes on the fact that languages of drawing and writing both inform the other. It can be used to generate creative story ideas, respond to a prompt related to learning concept, collaboratively learn new drawing symbols, identify parts of speech, identify parts of a story, as a review or preview of a unit of study in another discipline, and more. The lesson can be modified to accomplish your specific purpose.

This activity was developed by Dr. Janet Olson.
