This is an overview of unit/lesson options based on the popular ArtsCore Colony activity of Fairy (and other wee folks) Houses. The Fairy House activity that is briefly presented at Colony integrates storytelling, music, and art. This overview provides some additional ways fairy house building could be integrated in curriculum across disciplines and levels. Fairy house building captures student interest, experientially, and the heightened engagement that results can be focused in limitless ways. Teachers are encouraged to add to the collection of curricular possibilities.
