Students will create models of atoms using watercolor and collage techniques. Learn techniques such as oil pastel resist, wet on wet, and wet on dry techniques to create the base and background of the atom. Then participants will cut out and glue images that represent protons (p+), electrons (e-), and neutrons(n0) in their own lives and place them in the correct locations on the atoms. Then, use science vocabulary to write out how each image represents the part of the atom and the charge.
