Arts Integration Curriculum Implementation Grant Opportunities

Curriculum Implementation Grants (CIG) seek to increase support for arts integrated learning and teaching across subject areas on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campuses. We are offering a limited number of CIG awards of up to $2000 to fund arts integration curriculum implementation projects that center on arts integration as an approach to teaching.

We are especially focused on supporting pre‐service and early career teachers in their efforts to teach in and through the arts. To do so, we encourage University faculty and staff to incorporate arts integration teaching strategies that are presented to education majors in their particular areas of study.

To be considered for a CIG award, the results of your project must focus on arts integration strategies, impact pre‐service and/or early career teachers, and be documented through relevant course revision(s).

The benefits of receiving a Curriculum Implementation Grant may include:

  • Opportunities for professional development in arts integration teaching strategies
  • Opportunities to collaborate on arts integration lessons with knowledgeable experts
  • Opportunities to incorporate arts integration lessons into your classes and syllabus
  • Possible conference presentations and/or publications about your curriculum project
  • Students learn to integrate the arts into their instruction
  • Students can present arts integration lessons to K-12 teachers and students at ArtsCore events such as the Arts Integration Symposium and Bridge Day
  • Support from ArtsCore to write an application and mentoring to complete your plan

This research project must align with the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts’ definition of arts integration.
