Using pop-culture figures from the world of hip-hop to show that, regardless of their path and circumstance as youth if we simply give people time they will often outgrow/transcend their circumstances. Attendees explore perception and participate in an exercise that motivates patience and grace when educating some of our challenging students. Attendees also discuss the culture of Hip Hop from which many of these figures hale. The discussion will include tools and knowledge to help teachers manage and connect with said students.
