Licensed Teachers beyond their 5th year of teaching may wish to enhance their practice through arts integration. ArtsCore welcomes these experienced teachers and prepares them to become knowledgeable arts integration team members and mentors.
Veteran teachers are invited to attend arts integrated professional development sessions. At Bridge Day, short arts integrated lesson ideas are presented by recent Colony Alumni. Symposium offers two types of sessions. In the first, Colony Alumni again present arts integrated lessons, but each with a hands-on component. The second type, Hot Topics, are facilitated discussions about issues relevant to arts integration and current practice in the field.

ArtsCore Colony at the Paine opens registration first to early career teachers. We also recognize the need for experienced teachers to join arts integration teams in the schools as mentors, refreshed in their own arts integrated practice. If you are interested in attending Colony as a future mentor, please contact your district’s ArtsCore Coordinator.
