Continuing Education Options

The Wisconsin Caregiver Training Project offers documentation of training that often fulfills continuing education requirements for individuals:

• Employed by healthcare, homecare, and residential care providers regulated by the Division of Quality Assurance. Each person receives a Certificate of Participation for hours completed. Employees may check with their regulatory authority to confirm course approval as needed. Regulated providers are listed at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/regulations/health-residential.htm
• Seeking continuing education units through the University of Wisconsin-Extension. Credentialed individuals often seek Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through the UW-Extension, which awards one CEU for every ten contact hours in a continuing education experience. CEU application forms will be available to participants. UW-Extension charges a fee to process the forms.
