A thank you and a pay plan update
We have all just gone through a week none of us want to go through ever again. As your Chancellor, I recognize and accept the weight of my decisions and the impact they have on so many of you and your families.
Conclusion of a hard week, the road ahead
We have all just gone through a week none of us want to go through ever again. As your Chancellor, I recognize and accept the weight of my decisions and the impact they have on so many of you and your families.
A message of reassurance: We are dedicated to your success
I understand this week’s news about employee layoffs at our three campuses and the end of classes in June 2024 at UWO Fond du Lac has been unsettling. I want to take a moment to address your concerns, provide reassurance and express our unwavering commitment to your education and well-being.
UWO Fond du Lac campus update
With the news this week that UW Oshkosh will stop offering classes on the Fond du Lac campus at the end of June 2024, I know you have many questions and concerns. We are here to support you. I would like to address some of the most common questions we have heard in the last couple of days.
UWO’s Access Campus futures
Yesterday was a historically hard day at UWO. Today, it is my duty to report more change ahead.
Demographic trends, declining enrollments and the rising costs of providing an education continue to challenge us. And it is with that familiar context that I received a letter from Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman this week. He is directing me to undertake new actions at UW Oshkosh’s Access Campuses.
UWO layoff notices issued today
Today, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh issued layoff notices to 140 employees. If you are an employee and did not receive an Institutional Realignment Plan-specific email notification, you are not affected by the layoffs.
