Midwest Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists

$1,000 scholarship open to undergraduates in chemistry, biology, cosmetic, pharmaceutical or allied sciences. Applications due in October; scholarships will be awarded in December.

Chemistry Alumni Research Award

This scholarship is only for Chemistry majors at UW Oshkosh.
The Chemistry Alumni Research Award was made possible as a result of generous gifts by chemistry alumni. Established in 1997, the award recognizes undergraduate chemistry majors for achievement in and potential for productive research. Junior and senior Chemistry majors who have participated in research may apply for the scholarship.

Gilbert F and Katherine L Pollnow Chemistry Scholarship

This scholarship is only for Chemistry majors at UW Oshkosh.
Awarded to a full time, Wisconsin resident, student, pursuing the Professional Emphasis of the Chemistry major, with outstanding performance in Physical Chemistry and its math and physics prerequisites.  Preference will be given to nominees who are working part time to help finance their own education. All students in Chem 371 are considered.

Robert Moore Scholarship

This scholarship is only for Chemistry majors at UW Oshkosh.
Awarded to a student with outstanding performance in Biochemistry courses.

Ruth A. Berge Organic Chemistry Scholarship Award

This scholarship is open to all majors at UW Oshkosh.
Awarded to a student with outstanding performance in Organic Chemistry. All students who have completed Chem 335 are considered.

Daniel Raaf Scholarship

Application required. Awarded to a student with demonstrated financial need majoring in Art, Computer Science, English, Foreign Languages, Geography, Geology, Biology and Microbiology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Music or Physics and Astronomy.

Merlin Silverthorn, William Haidlinger, and Edward Schwartz Scholarships

This scholarship is open to all majors at UW Oshkosh.
Application required. Awarded for academic excellence and financial need.

Ronald Edward Paque Scholarship in Biology or Chemistry

Application required. Awarded to a Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Immunology Major. Primary criteria for selection shall be an applicant’s promise and potential to contribute to one of these fields of interest.

Madhu Mahadeva Memorial Scholarship

Application required. Awarded to a woman with junior status; majoring in biology, microbiology, chemistry, mathematics or physics/astronomy; who demonstrates high academic achievement and commitment to pursuing a career in the sciences.

SMART (Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation) National Scholarship Program

SMART is a national scholarship program that will pay for all educational expenses for a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD program in a STEM discipline, and then provide scholars unique opportunities to work as research scientists or engineers on cutting edge technology in world class Department of Defense facilities. This is a highly competitive, national program, open to U.S. citizens only. The SMART program will pay all educational costs and a stipend from as little as one (1) term up to 5 years. Specifically the program pays for:

  • Full tuition to any accredited U.S. university
  • A stipend ranging from $25,000 – $41,000 per year while a student is in school
  • Book allowance of $1,000
  • Health insurance contribution
  • Paid summer internships
  • Travel fees for internships and all required student fees
