Outstanding Alumni


Craig D. Wegener

 

Craig D. Wegener, C.P.A., is a 1970 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, having earned a bachelors degree in business administration. He was a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies and served as a member of the College of Business Advisory Board from 1982 to 1995. He was named Outstanding Young Alumnus for 1983 and Outstanding Alumnus in 1991. He was a founding member of the College of Business Alumni Association and served as the association’s first president from 1991 to 1995.

Retired since 2000, he was executive vice president of Waukesha Cutting Tools, Inc., now known as Walter USA Inc. Previously, he held positions of controller, treasurer and vice president of finance for Vilter Manufacturing Corporation. He began his career with the Milwaukee office of Arthur Andersen & Co., where he specialized in providing accounting, tax and consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses.

He resides with his wife, Kathleen, in New Berlin, where he devotes his time to family, travel and an occasional consulting project.
