Janette E. Fennell

 

Janette E. Fennell is a 1976 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business Administration with a degree in marketing. She was named outstanding young alumna in 1987, outstanding College of Business alumna in 1991 and distinguished alumna in 2004.

She is the founder of KIDS AND CARS, a nonprofit child safety organization that draws national attention to the tragedy of children injured, disabled and killed in and around motor vehicles. She is a regular guest on national talk shows and is frequently quoted in the consumer trade press. She has appeared on Dateline NBC, Oprah, Inside Edition, The ABC Nightly News and CNN. Fennell also has been featured in numerous publications, such as USA Today, Parents Magazine and Good Housekeeping. In 2002, she received a National Highway Transportation Safety Public Service Award.

She lives with her husband and two sons in Leawood, Kansas.
