Outstanding Alumni


Michael J. Mach

 

Michael J. Mach received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business Administration in 1976. He was honored as the outstanding alumnus in 2001.

He serves as the Division of Banking administrator in the Department of Financial Institutions for the State of Wisconsin. He began his career as a bank examiner in 1971 in Oshkosh, became a field office supervisor in 1978 in La Crosse, and transferred to Madison in 1984, where he has held several administrative positions.

He serves on the board of directors of the American Council of State Savings Supervisors (ACSSS) and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors’ (CSBS) regulatory committee. He is vice chairman of the CSBS internet banking task force and frequently is a speaker at banking conferences and seminars.

His community involvement includes more than ten years of service as a volunteer leader for the Boys Scouts of America.
