Orientation

Congratulations! If you were invited to the Orientation, you are officially a member of our professional counseling community. 

The orientation is held in early spring and is designed to acclimate you to the department and program before beginning summer courses. Faculty will go over a number of different topics including course curriculum, practicum and internship information, student assessments, registration and advising. The National Honor Society for Counseling, Chi Sigma Iota, will also give a brief overview of the student organization.

Orientation attendance is required as you receive valuable information and complete some required paperwork. In the event you cannot attend the orientation please contact the department for alternative arrangements.

The orientation will end with an optional campus tour including services available in Reeve, Parking Services, Polk Library, Wellness Center, Health Center, services in Dempsey, and Student Success Center.
