Dr. Toni House is an Assistant Professor for the Human Services Leadership Department at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

She earned her Ph.D. in Human Services with a Nonprofit Management certificate from Capella University where she focused on the benefits of Indigenous language learning on cultural preservation. She earned her Masters in Community Counseling right here at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Her undergraduate studies were in Human Development with a special emphasis in Lay-Midwifery with a minor in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.

Dr. House is an Oneida, from the Oneida Nation here in Wisconsin where she has about 18 years of employment history in the following areas of Human Services: Nurses aide; fitness instructor; children and women’s advocacy; domestic violence education, training and prevention; and psychotherapy where she completed her 3000 hours and acquired an Independent Clinical Social Worker License. She left the human services area for a promotion as a Continuous Improvement Specialist also at the Oneida Nation which included the following areas: Team building; meeting facilitation; consensus building; conflict resolution; leadership training; system redesign; and program planning. She also has extensive experience in the Midwifery field. She was licensed as a lay-midwife in the states of New Mexico and Texas with the majority of her practice here in the state of Wisconsin.
