Lee Watson joined the UW-Fond du Lac faculty in the Fall of 2005. In addition to his teaching duties, he served as the campus athletic director from 2005-2017.  

A sports enthusiast, Watson was an avid distance runner and competed throughout high school and college. In high school he competed at state competition for both cross country and track and during college competed at the NCAA Championships.

His coaching experience includes youth, high school, and collegiate level.  He has coached track & field, cross-country, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, and golf.  Lee was nominated for Teacher of the Year (FDL campus) in 2015, 2016, & 2018 and also won Teacher of the Year (FDL campus) for 2019.

Watson has served as a volunteer for variety of civic groups and activities. He enjoys all outdoor activities especially hunting/fishing retreats in the Marinette County area with his family . Watson resides in Kiel, WI with his wife, Nicole; son, Noah and three daughters, Zoe, Lily, & Mia.

- NCAA Academic All-American 1999
- Coach of the Year Women's Golf 2002-2004
- Coach of the Year Men's Tennis 2003
- Coach of the Year Women's Tennis 2005

Lee is also a current member of WAHPERD, AAHPERD, National Association of Sport & PE, and WIRSA. Watson has served as a volunteer at Fox Cities Marathon. He enjoys all outdoor activities especially hunting/fishing retreats in the Marinette County area with his family .
