Environmental Health and Safety Committee
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Environmental Health and Safety Committee is dedicated to promoting healthy and safe environments for all persons of the UW Oshkosh campus community, by identifying and rectifying unsafe practices and conditions. Additionally, the Committee works to develop and implement policies designed to improve safe work procedures, increase campus awareness of health and safety issues, and reduce risk on campus.
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager co-chairs with a member appointed by the Administration. The committee is traditionally comprised of 2 Faculty, 2 Academic Staff, 3 University Staff, and 1 student. There are 4 Ex Officio members – The Chief Facilities Officer, one representative each from Residence Life and University Police Dept. leadership, and the Hazardous Materials & Chemical Hygiene Coordinator.

Laboratory Shop Studio Safety Team (LSSST)
With the safety of faculty, staff, and students in mind, the UW Oshkosh Laboratory Studio Shop Safety Team (LSSST) was formed in 2012. The team is made up of faculty and academic and university staff members from a variety of science departments, art and theatre departments, and administrative offices. LSSST meets two to three times per calendar year to discuss policies and procedures pertaining to safe work, research, and study in labs, studios, and shops.
