Application Process

The College of Nursing admits students to the MSN Clinical Nurse Leader and Nurse Educator emphases every fall.  Clinical Nurse Leader and Nurse Educator applications are available July 1st through April 1st for the fall admission cycle.  Application materials must be received by the College of Nursing Graduate Program Office and official transcripts must be received by the Graduate Studies Office by April 1st to to be eligible.

  • Complete the online application and pay the $56 application fee at
  • The application is a UW System form and is sent electronically to the UW Oshkosh Office of Graduate Studies.
  • Official undergraduate and any graduate transcripts must be sent directly to UW Oshkosh Office of Graduate Studies.  Transcripts submitted by the applicant are not considered official.  Applicants that have either graduated from, or taken courses at, UW Oshkosh do not need to submit official transcripts from UW Oshkosh as these can be accessed from our internal offices.

C. Completion of appropriate attached written requirement based on emphasis applying for:

D. Background Information Disclosure Form (BID)** * Applications can be submitted from those who have yet to graduate from their BSN program and attain RN licensure.  Transcripts bearing BSN degree completion and proof of RN license must be submitted prior to granting full-standing admission to the program. **Upon admission to program applicants will be requested to complete a full background check with associated fees the student’s responsibility. This form will not be part of the evaluation process for selection into the program but will be used for advising purposes only.

Reference Forms

Applicants must follow directions for Reference Forms (Item E) for completion of application process. Instructions: Applicants are to complete the top portion of the reference form and forward to the three references they have listed on online Graduate Studies application form.  Reference forms are to be returned directly from the reference to the Graduate Program Office. This can be done either by email, fax  or mailing to the address listed at the bottom of the form. E. MSN Reference Letter Form   – A minimum of 3 reference forms are required.
