Suicide Prevention Training/How to Help a Student
The Counseling Center offers two versions of suicide prevention training developed by the JED foundation. We offer these versions on-demand through Canvas, which you can view at any time. We also offer live (virtual or in-person) trainings.
Option A- For Student Audience: You Can Help a Friend
This one-hour training covers how to help a friend/student peer with mental health concerns and/or thoughts of suicide.

This one-hour training shares information about recognizing and responding to students in distress, and how to help students with mental health concerns and/or thoughts of suicide.
