Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing style of yoga practice. It is a receptive practice, not an active practice. Restorative yoga allows you to step away from the hectic pace of life and go inward. The purpose of restorative yoga is to do just that – restore – to completely relax and calm the body and mind. Yoga props such as bolsters, blocks, and blankets are used to allow the body to completely surrender in various supported poses.
