Biofeedback is a computer-based program devised to help students recognize their body’s response to stress and anxiety and develop skills to reduce the intensity of the stress/anxiety response. Skills learned in Biodfeedback focus on mindfulness, breathing, relaxation, sensory awareness, and cognitive strategies.  A counselor will provide a private orientation to the biofeedback room and programs.  After this orientation, students can return to biofeedback services as often as they find helpful.

Potential Benefits of Biofeedback:

  • Lower Stress and/or Anxiety
  • Increase the ability to be present in the moment
  • Increase the ability to relax
  • Increase the ability to focus
