The UWO Counseling Center has creatively added Wellness Workshops as an additional treatment option. Wellness workshops are experiential and interactive by design. Students meet in small groups and have the opportunity to choose a meaningful exercise to help create their own path to health and happiness. Activities are based on various areas and skills that help to promote long-term happiness (including mindfulness, gratitude, forgiveness, optimism, compassion, and connection).
We believe in each student’s wellness at the Counseling Center. Being well is largely about being kind to yourself physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Counselors recommend workshops so that students can experience and practice skills necessary to find a healthy balance in life.
