Overview—Arturo Perez-Reyes has worked for 22 years as a risk consultant and broker helping firms identify, quantify, and transfer the liability and losses from technology, professional services, value chains, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, as well as privacy and security. He is an SVP and the lead cyber strategist at Newfront, a brokerage transforming insurance with technology and people-centered innovation.

Broker—He developed the first privacy policies and hybrid products that provide both insurance and information-security services. On complex and large risk, he manuscripts tech, cyber, and professional products to adjust coverage and controls for exposures, gaps, and overlaps. He has placed coverage for industries such as retail, financial institutions, law firms, healthcare organizations, travel-hospitality, utilities, manufacturers, telecom, gambling, pharmaceutics, manufacturing, web-services, and technology. 

Consultant —He does enterprise-risk consulting for mid-cap to Fortune 50 companies. The studies have identified, quantified, and mitigated liabilities and losses from data losses, privacy violations, confidentiality torts, intellectual-property invalidation and litigation as well as from new technologies, emerging services, IT value chains, information sharing, and regulatory compliance. He has also presented nationally and internationally at industry conferences as well as to RIMS, CPCU, and the ABA.  

Educator — Arturo is also a member of the professional faculty at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. He has lectured for 34 years on e-commerce, communication, insurance, sales, and green business. He has also taught at the University of Chicago in the college and the Graduate School of Business. And he has held academic-leadership roles leading transformations of e-commerce, cloud storage, and network-security.

Brett started his career as a programmer. With decades of experience from small business to global enterprises, his experience has always been hands-on and practical.

He co-founded The Arizona Cyber Warfare Range and the National Cyber Warfare Foundation. Two leading entities in cybersecurity started in the United States. His experience has been mostly in the private sector but he has experience fighting terrorism, sex trafficking, finding missing persons, and cyber warfare.

He brings an in-depth perspective on cybersecurity topics, and his broad base of experience is invaluable in helping others understand complex topics easily.
