Faculty praise for Autumn

Douglas Haynes: “Autumn’s polished public speaking skills and fine-tuned interpretive abilities make her a natural leader in the classroom. She combines these traits with generosity and enthusiasm that wonderfully betray her talent for acting. Break a leg on Chicago’s stages, Autumn!”

Diane Crotty: “I will miss seeing that big smile and hearing that cheery voice for our advising meetings.  I feel like you can cheer the world with your presence!  Congratulations!”

Stewart Cole and Pascale Manning: “Autumn Christensen is a scintillatingly talented individual, as anyone who saw her as Ariel in The Tempest or Adriana in The Comedy of Errors knows. But she also has the quiet curiosity of the best students, and the drive to actualize that curiosity in the real world. Case in point: on the second night of a study abroad in London, we ran into Autumn at Piccadilly Circus station, late at night, returning from a Harold Pinter play she’d gone to by herself out of dedication to her craft. While most of the rest of the students were sticking close to the hotel at the other end of the city, still acclimating, Autumn exuded self-possession and savvy, fully at home amid the thronging crowds – a strong indication, we think, of her star potential.”

I’m not at all surprised that you went on to impress as many profs as you did! You were already a scholar way back in 281. 🙂
