The Iditarod: Anchorage, AK

March 5 – 12, 2020

Price (based on projected airfare):

15–19 travelers: $3,999/person based on double occupancy or $4,379/person based on single occupancy
20 or more travelers: $3,599/person based on double occupancy or $3,979/person bases on single occupancy

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrive into Anchorage, meet tour director, transfer to hotel, enjoy Iditarod festivities and the Musher’s Banquet.
  • Day 2: Travel north to meet four-time Iditarod Champion Martin Buser, and visit Iditarod Headquarters .
  • Day 3: Cheer on mushers from around the world at the Official Ceremonial Start of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
  • Day 4: Travel to Willow for the restart of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race and visit the Willow Community Center. Take a scenic transfer north to the quaint town of Talkeetna.
  • Day 5: Take a scenic transfer north to Denali National Park, visit the Murie Science and Learning Center, and continue north to Fairbanks, to enjoy a night of Aurora Viewing.
  • Day 6: Take a tour of Fairbanks. Travel to Chena Hot Springs for a chance to relax in the hot springs before returning to Fairbanks.
  • Day 7: Board a deluxe railcar for a scenic transfer south to Anchorage.
  • Day 8: Fly home – Flight TBD

New York Theater Tour 2020

Group 1: Wednesday, May 27 – Sunday, May 31, 2020

Group 2: Wednesday, June 3 – Sunday, June 7, 2020

In five adventure-filled days, you and a group of like-minded travelers will experience three outstanding Broadway performances. You’ll spend four nights in a conveniently located hotel on or near Times Square. You’ll be able to explore many of the city’s most popular attractions such as: Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, 9/11 Memorial and Museum, High Line, Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, Wall Street, historic neighborhoods, and numerous world famous museums.

The price for the trip includes the following items:

  • Coach and air transportation to Milwaukee and New York
  • Three plays
  • Four nights at a conveniently located hotel on or near Times Square
  • Group tours of some of New York’s many “must see” attractions
  • Optional excursions with your trip leaders at an additional charge

Fees: The 2020 price is $2,250 (based on double occupancy). This is subject to change based on airfare and other increases to hotel, etc. for 2020. Add $650 for single occupancy.

Boundary Waters Canoe Expedition
June 6 – June 11, 2020

The Boundary waters in northern Minnesota is the largest wilderness area east of the Rocky Mountains and north of the Florida Everglades. The more than 1 million acres contains over 1200 miles of canoe routes and over 2000 individual campsites. Challenge yourself physically and unplug yourself mentally as you spend 6 days paddling this pristine wilderness with 2 guides who combined have completed more than 20 trips in this natural wonderland. Price includes transportation from Manitowoc, all food in the wilderness, and all necessary equipment. Personal gear excluded.

Fee: $800

Group leader: Bruce Peters (retired UW-Manitowoc). Bruce has led various outdoor trips over the past 4 years as was co-advisor to the UW-Manitowoc Extreme Outdoors Club.
