Professional Development with Schools
The Fox Valley Writing Project is committed to providing professional development that is designed in collaboration with our partner districts and agencies. We are an affiliate of the National Writing Project networking, which links us to thousands of teachers across the country who are knowledgeable about and skilled in the teaching of writing.
We can provide customized literacy-focused professional development for your district. We have provided open institutes or day-long workshops on the following topics, customized around districts’ needs or grant requirements:
- disciplinary literacy
- readers’ & writers’ workshop
- writing in secondary schools
- teaching ELA (with argument and information standards in mind)
