Why Game Design?
There is growing national emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning. This academy will provide a collaborative environment for students to practice and improve these valuable skills.
You will have the opportunity to work with other gamers to explore the exciting world of game design. You will use a variety of web based platforms, including Gamestar Mechanic, to create your very own video games. The week long academy will focus on the design aspect of gaming and does not require a background in coding.

Fun Fact:
A Milwaukee middle school student was recently 1 out of 100 students invited to the National Science Fair in Washington D.C. for her video game created using the same program this academy uses.
