Enroll in Courses
Registering for Graduate Classes
To enroll in any graduate course, you must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or be within nine credits of earning a bachelor’s degree at UW Oshkosh.
Courses with a catalog number of 500-699 are graduate level which sometimes are also modified and offered for undergraduate credit. Courses with 700-799 catalog numbers are graduate level courses only for graduate students.
The enrollment process depends on your current graduate student status described below.
Admitted UWO Graduate Student
If you are an admitted student to a UWO doctorate degree, master’s degree, certificate or GAP program:
- Consult with your adviser or program coordinator if you have questions about what classes to take
- Register for classes via Titan Web Student Center
- If you need help, use these instructions
Non-degree seeking UWO Student
You’re a non-degree seeking student if:
- You completed a bachelor’s degree at any institution, and
- You are not admitted student to a UWO doctorate degree, master’s degree, certificate or GAP program
We invite you to take classes! If you decide to pursue a certificate or degree later, please note that there is a 12-credit limit on courses taken as a non-degree seeking student that may apply toward a UW Oshkosh graduate certificate or degree.
How to enroll
To enroll in class(es):
- Find the class(es) you want to take by going to the Titan Web website and selecting Guests: Search Classes
- If you need help, there are resources on the Titan Web website below the Guests: Search Classes link
- If you still need help, contact GradSchool@uwosh.edu
- In the class search, click on class details to see if there are prerequisites to take the class or if approval is needed
- Note the highlighted information shown below for each class. You'll need this information later to enroll.
- Complete an online application (there is no application fee)
- After you create a new account or login, click Start Application and two questions later, select Few Courses
- When you are prompted to complete the Essay, add the classes you want to take
- The next business day, we will process your application
- Your login credentials will be created that night
- You are not yet enrolled in classes
- Two business days after you submitted your application, watch for an email from GradSchool@uwosh.edu with your login credentials
- Check your spam folder then contact GradSchool@uwosh.edu if you do not receive the email
- Follow the instructions in the log-in credentials email to get enrolled in the class(es)
- The day after you are enrolled in the class(es), you will see the class(es) listed in TitanWeb Student Center
- Log in to confirm you're enrolled in the right class
- Three weeks before the semester, log into TitanWeb Student Center to view and pay your tuition bill
Degree-seeking at Another Institution
We welcome students who are pursing a degree at another university!
Please consult the program coordinator at your home institution to determine which UW Oshkosh courses are acceptable, then enroll.
How to enroll

Re-entry Student
You are a re-entry student if:
- You previously attended UW Oshkosh as a degree-seeking graduate student, and
- You have not taken a class for more than two years
How to enroll
To re-join the program:
- Complete an online application (an application fee is not required if you paid an application fee within the last ten years)
- After you create a new account or login, click Start Application and two questions later, select Degree
- When you are prompted to complete the Essay, skip the prompts. Instead, add a note that you are re-entering the program
- The next business day, we will process your application
- Your login credentials will be created that night
- Two business days after you submitted your application, watch for an email from GradSchool@uwosh.edu with your login credentials
- Check your spam folder then contact GradSchool@uwosh.edu if you do not receive the email
- Follow the instructions in the log-in credentials email
- Contact your program coordinator to discuss your planned courses and progress
UWO Undergraduate Final Term Senior
If you are a final term undergrad senior at UW Oshkosh, you may enroll in a maximum of three graduate credits during your last semester.
How to enroll
- Ask your undergraduate student status examiner to email GradSchool@uwosh.edu confirming you are within nine credits of graduation and meet all other admission requirements for full standing to the intended graduate degree program. Include the class(es) you want to take.
- Graduate Studies will review your request. If granted, Graduate Studies will set up your student record and forward your request to the Registrar’s Office.
- Registrar’s Office will email your UWO campus email address with any questions
- One day after you’ve been enrolled, confirm your enrollment via TitanWeb Student Center
Post-Master's Student
If you are a post-master’s student, you may register for most courses without prerequisites. Call the Office of Graduate Studies at (920) 424-1223 before registering to update your record and verify your eligibility for enrollment.
