Oshkosh Placement Exchange

As a member of Senior Staff at UW Oshkosh we are actively involved in the planning and execution of the annual Oshkosh Placement Exchange. Having gone through OPE as candidates ourselves, we enjoy the opportunity to give back to the profession and to have so many Residence Life friends on our campus.

Each Assistant Residence Hall Director and Residence Hall Director is involved in the operation of one of the three OPE centers (Message, Scheduling and Transportation) or serve on the UWO selection team. Four RHDs are selected serve as committee chairs and are instrumental in the planning process for the annual conference.

As conference hosts, we hope you are enjoying your OPE experience. As a potential employer, we hope you see the work we do during OPE as an example of the great work we do here at UW Oshkosh!

OPE Centers

Scheduling

Staff at the Scheduling Center help set up the interview schedules for the conference participants.

Transportation

We provide courtesy shuttle services between the Gruenhagen Conference Center, Reeve Union, and designated local hotels from early in the morning until late at night.  During high-traffic times on Thursday and Friday, we also assist participants who choose to bring vehicles to campus by greeting drivers, directing vehicles to vacant spaces, and enforcing time limits in short-term unloading zones.

Message Center

Candidates and employers communicate to one another through our Message Center. The Message Center also supports our greeter program, welcoming, directing, and assisting candidates and employers at facility entrances, high traffic areas during Thursday check-in, and in the Reeve Union waiting room during interview times.
