Internal Communications at UWO
Internal email, event annoucements and alerts help our employees and students at all three campuses stay engaged and informed about news and events critical to their success. The University Marketing and Communications team works closely with executive leadership and units across campus to make sure that important information is delivered in a timely manner and with a clear message.
If you are interested in sending email about your program, department or unit, please submit a project request or speak with your college/division UMC liason. They will help you set goals, identify resources and create a communications strategy that meets your needs and supports the University’s goals and brand.
Internal Email Templates
The University Communications and Marketing team manages internal and external bulk email requests. Whether you need to send a message to all students, faculty, staff, alumni or stakeholders across the country, UMC can assist you in crafting and building your email.
For developing emails or campaigns for your stakeholders or a target population, contact UMC for assistance.
If you would like to send a general University communication — including to all students, all staff, all faculty or any combination thereof —UMC will provide a branded email header and blank email template for your use. Remember to include the following details:
- The content of the email message
- Contact information of the sender
- What action would you like the campus community to take (register, attend, etc)
As a general policy, University-wide emails are reserved for executive-level communications and emergency/immediate-need notifications. For individuals or units wishing to send the information to the Announcements List, the official methods of reaching all employees and students.
