Incident Response

The Division of Information Technology can help to detect, respond to, and recover from intrusions and data disclosure incidents, including IT security incidents involving electronic business data of any kind. The Division of Information Technology can analyze your computer to determine if data was disclosed and if any parties need to be notified of a possible identity threat.

Getting Started

Contact the Help Desk immediately if a threat is suspected either via phone at (920) 424-3020 or email at helpdesk@uwosh.edu.

Note: Security incidents may be time consuming and may delay use of your computer. If you are unsure if something should be reported, the Division of Information Technology encourages you to call the Help Desk to discuss the issue. If it warrants further action, you will be informed at that time.

Lost or stolen computers: Please contact the University Police Department via phone at (920) 424-1212 to file an incident report.
