The support, maintenance, and training of classroom or teaching lab technology campus-wide.
Computer Lab Equipment Support
The support, training, and maintenance of general access computer labs across campus. The labs offer internet access and word processing, design, spreadsheet, statistical, and course-specific software. The labs also offer printers, scanners, and digital editing resources.
Digital Learning Environment
The Digital Learning Environment (DLE) is a UW System supported online suite of software tools for teaching and learning. There are 3 foundational tools that all work together: Canvas (learning management system), Blackboard Collaborate (web conferencing) and Kaltura (video streaming/repository). UW System is currently transitioning away from D2L (Desire 2 Learn) but it will be supported through Summer 2019.
Information Technology offers many types of equipment for checkout. These items include cameras, iPods, projectors, audio equipment, and more to be used in the classroom, at conferences, or at other locations.
Event Equipment Support
When holding an event on campus, IT can provide technical equipment, training, and support. Events include live bands, speakers, comedians, and other special events.
Information Technology offers technology training, best practices, and how-to guides on the use of technology, commonly used programs, and typical technology questions. A collection of instructions and information about services and issues Information Technology provides and assists with in a helpful, user-friendly format.
Meeting Room Equipment Support
When utilizing meeting spaces on campus, IT can provide technical equipment, training, and support. This service includes department meetings, conferences, and on-site trainings.
Office Equipment Support
The installation, troubleshooting, and repair of campus-owned hardware in offices across campus.
One Button Studio
The One Button Studio is a self-service video recording room. This space is perfect for rehearsing a class presentation, practicing your public speaking skills, recording a group interview, creating videos for online instruction, recording a podcast, creating an informational video, recording testimonials and more.
This service provides in-room and in-office technical support for students living in the residence halls on campus.
Information Technology acknowledges that there may be specific job tasks or research activities that require administrative privileges, which are not granted by default due to UW System’s Information Security Policy. These privileges are reviewed annually and require approval by leadership.
Mac and Windows devices on Titan WiFi can print to most Pharos Print Management printers wirelessly using our wireless print packages including, but not limited to, our General Access Computer Labs.
