Internships and Careers
There is great demand for people to work within the interactive Web management (IWM) field. As a student majoring in IWM or with a College of Business Web presence management emphasis, you are sought after by employers for internships and full-time positions.
All Interactive Web Management students are required to have an internship in order to graduate. However, because we have really good connections with a large number of employers and IWM students learn skills that are in high demand, it is not a problem finding an internship. In fact, most students end up working multiple internships by the time they graduate.
Students find internships by attending IWM Advisory Board meetings which are held every semester, going to IWM Club meetings to listen to speakers from local companies, or by connecting through their professors or Career Services.
As a graduate from the program, you will begin working in fields of Web development, Web design, online brand presence or Web marketing in larger companies, but also have the ability to manage an entire Web-based infrastructure for a small firm where one or two people might make up the entire IT staff. You also will be able to help organizations harness these technologies to create lasting solutions to today’s business challenges.
