The ABC’s of WI Public Records conference session, presented by Dee Hall from Wisconsin Watch, provides great advice and tips and tricks about accessing state records. This session helps viewers become more knowledgeable about the correct way to access records. Hall discusses the importance of knowing your rights surrounding accessing public records information. Drawing on her experience, Hall provides examples of why exploring records can help people in certain situations and shares how to properly access past records. 

According to the Wisconsin Watch website, “the nonpartisan, nonprofit Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism is increasing the quality and quantity of investigative reporting in Wisconsin while training current and future investigative journalists. Its work fosters an informed citizenry and strengthens democracy.”
