FREE Spring Clinics
Saturday, Apr. 1 and Sunday, May 7
9 a.m. to Noon | Auditions 1-3 p.m.
The Titan Thunder Marching Band (TTMB) invites high school and college students to attend free clinics on campus for introduction, instruction and development of their skills. The 2023 Spring Clinics will be held Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to noon with the option to audition for the fall TTMB in the afternoon.

Drumline Clinic
The morning session will explore marching percussion techniques as well as performance building techniques. The afternoon session is for participants that plan to audition for and march in the 2023 Titan Thunder Marching Band Drumline. We will work on the provided exercise “Free Agency.”
SOME EXPERIENCE NEEDED
No experience with marching percussion is required, but a minimum of 2 years marching percussion experience is recommended. Cymbals will not be included in this clinic, but if you only play cymbals, you are welcome to attend and try another drumline instrument.
Participants should bring sticks and a practice pad plus a copy of the exercise piece “Free Agency.”

Twirling Clinic
Participants will learn skills and choreography that can be used for twirling on the field in a marching band. Areas of focus will include: down the field choreography, multiple baton work, and novelty tricks.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Students should be considered an intermediate or higher level competitive twirler in order to participate in the clinic and/or audition for the Titan Thunder Marching Band.

Color guard Clinic
Participants will learn basic dance skills along with beginner flag moves. Near the end of the clinic, participants will learn a dance and flag routine so they can experience the excitement of color guard choreography. This routine may be used for your audition for the TTMB.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
All students are invited to participate in the clinic regardless of experience level.
This is a great way to get involved with the new marching band if you do not play an instrument.
There is a lot of movement involved, so please wear comfortable athletic clothing and running or exercise-like shoes that stay fastened to your feet when moving. No equipment needed
