Using Dropbox

Once you have installed Dropbox on your device, open it and enter the email and password that you signed up with into the sign in box.

Dropbox will then open up your personal Dropbox folder, with a useful getting started guide. This folder will be located, by default, in your C drive on Windows or your account folder on Mac. The Dropbox folder will also be automatically added your favorites.

Anything that you put into this folder will now be automatically shared to your account on the Dropbox website, and to the Dropbox folder on any other devices using the same Dropbox account.

Items will first be marked with a blue circle to indicate that they are being shared to Dropbox, and will switch to a green check mark once they have been fully shared and are available to other devices.

Using the Dropbox Website

To access your dropbox files from the Dropbox website, just click the “Sign In” button and enter your email and password. You will then be able to view, upload, and download all your files from any web browser on any computer with internet access.

To upload files from your computer, click on the “Upload…” button next to the search box to open up the uploader.

You can then drag and drop files into the box to upload them, or browse for files on your computer by the “Choose files” button. Any files will then show up in your Dropbox account.
