Private Lesson Program

Fall 2017 Session

The Fall 2017 of six weekly lessons begin the week of October 30, 2017 and ends the week of December 11, 2017. No lessons will be held the week of November 20 due to Thanksgiving recess.

We will accept new students at any point during the Fall session for a prorated rate.

Instructors

Three different types of instruction are available for students depending on their experience level, needs, and goals. If you have any questions about which instructor may be right for you, please contact us at . We can advise you in this matter.

  • Master Teacher – highly reputable professional musicians with at least one degree in music. A Master Teacher would be appropriate for students of any age who have several years of experience on their instrument, and are looking for advanced instruction.
  • Apprentice Instructor – Upper level undergraduate music majors in the UW Oshkosh Department of Music. They have been recommended by the faculty for their musicianship and professionalism, and are regularly evaluated by their professors regarding their teaching. An Apprentice Instructor is an ideal teacher for a beginner or younger student.
  • UW Oshkosh Department of Music Faculty – Available on a case-by-case basis at the instructor’s discretion. Prospective students wishing to work directly with UWO Faculty should inquire with the Community Music Conservatory to determine availability.

All private instructors have met rigorous standards and qualifications, and have passed criminal background checks through the UW Oshkosh Department of Online and Continuing Education.

Lesson Lengths

30 Minute – Best for beginners and younger students.

45 Minute or 60 Minute – Appropriate for high school aged
students and adults.

You may choose your desired lesson length while registering for lessons. However, instructors may advise a different time length after evaluating students’ needs in the first lesson.
