The choral program consists of three ensembles. All are open to both music majors and non-music majors by either a placement hearing or audition. The Women’s Choir, Titan Men’s Choir, and Chamber Choir each perform on two concerts per semester, and carry one academic credit each. Upper level sections of each ensemble are available to music majors of junior or senior status.
Choral Placement Hearings – Fall 2021
All new and returning students interested in singing in a UWO Choir must schedule a short (6-8 minute) placement hearing to determine voice range and section placement. The hearing will consist of vocal exercises to determine range qualities, aural skills, sight-reading, and a short part-holding exercise. You do not need to prepare a song or any audition materials.
We can’t wait to have you singing with us. For any questions, please reach out to Dr. Gravelle at email@example.com.
