Special Instructions for Transfer Students

Advising and Enrolling in Classes

An advising appointment is required for all transfer students. You are only able to request an appointment using this online form. All transfer credits will be reviewed and applied to the student’s record by the Registrar’s Office prior to the appointment.

If you register for courses prior to your scheduled advising appointment, it is recommended that you review your course selections with your advisor. Students can find their enrollment appointment listed in their TitanWeb account under Enrollment Dates. Be sure to click on the “Details” link to see your enrollment date. For instruction on how to register for your courses, please refer to the TitanWeb Help for Students page.

Transfer Credit Report

Approximately two weeks after admission to UW Oshkosh, your transfer credits will have been reviewed and posted. You can see how your credits transferred to UWO by generating a Transfer Credit Report.

You may access your Transfer Credit Report in to Titan Web by clicking on the drop-down menu in under the Academics section within the Student Center (left side of the screen) Select “Transfer Credit: Report” from the drop down menu and click the double-arrow button.

Advisement Report

The Advisement Report is your degree progress report. This report indicates which requirements you have already completed, including your transfer courses, as well as the requirements you have yet to fulfill. Your Advisement Report can be viewed through your Titan Web account. To view your Advisement Report, please follow the instructions here.

Your Advisement Report is personalized to you and is updated to reflect in-progress courses and courses you have completed. Courses in progress at another college or university and CLEP or AP scores do not appear on your Advisement Report until official transcripts or score reports have been processed. Use your Advisement Report along with the degree planning guides to select classes for the next semester and to track your progress.

What do I need to do before my Titan Takeoff date?

  • Register & complete the UW System placement tests before your Titan Takeoff date
  • Complete an online orientation session & pre-advising form – more information to come in a separate email

    UW Oshkosh Email Update:

Multi-Factor Authentication is two-step verification process that each UWO student must use when accessing their Outlook email account. This authentication process is to better secure your email, especially when accessing sensitive information. Because passwords can be forgotten, stolen, or compromised, this additional security step helps to make your account more difficult for others to access.

The UW Oshkosh IT Department has step-by-step instructions as to how to set this up on their website here.
