Canvas Information

Courses delivered through the Division of Online & Continuing Education (OCE) will use the Canvas online learning platform.

Below are a number of resources and tutorials regarding the Canvas online learning system.

Students and faculty can use their NetID to log-in to the Canvas system. If this is the first time using your NetID, or the password has been reset, you must activate your NetID before logging in.

For more information on NetID, visit the Information Technology NetID page. If you’ve forgotten your NetID password, you can change it with the Self Service Password Reset system.

First-time users, or students who are interested in learning more about the functions of Canvas, can access the UWO Information Technology Canvas Orientation webpage.  There are short videos on:

• Getting to Know Canvas.
• Managing Due Dates and Submitting Assignments.

Canvas has a large number of how-to guides that include step-by-step instructions on how use the individual sections and functions of Canvas.   The guides are wide-ranging, and include screenshots from the Canvas system to help navigate the system.
