8 – 8:30 a.m. Check-In
8:30 – 9 a.m. Session I:  Get to Know You!
The opening session will provide opportunities to get to know each other while participating in community drumming.  We are capping this program at 33 people to allow for a more personal experience.
9 – 10 a.m. Session II:  Change in Our Lives
In this session we will identify our roles, recognize the transitions we have encountered and explore our reactions to these events.
10 – 10:15 a.m. Break
10:15–11:30 a.m. Session IIII: Experiencing Grief: Caring for the Body, Mind and Soul
As we explore our experiences, we will be given tools for self-care.  Tools such as breathing, reflection, music, movement, and trying something new.
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Lunch
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Walk along Oshkosh’s Riverwalk (Rain or shine.)
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Session IV: Bringing Balance & Going Deeper – why do we react?
Review and explore narratives about change and how they shape us and our reactions to the transitions we experience in life.
 2:30 – 2:45 p.m. Break
2:45 – 3:45 p.m. Session V:  Creating Narratives for Healthy Transitions
We will further develop our discussion from Session II to practice the tools received through writing, rituals, and music.  Develop a personal playlist to use moving forward.
4 – 6 p.m. Boat Cruise along the Fox River with On the Loos Cruise
Relax on the roof of this boat as we cruise the river.
(Weather dependent. There will not be a refund if we are not able to go due to weather).

6:15 p.m. A reservation for dinner will be at Becket’s if you would like to eat with other women from the retreat you are welcome to do so.

  Yoga will be available to retreat participants Sunday morning at Inner Sun Yoga Studio. Registration links will be sent to registered participants closer to the date.
  Shelly’s book will be available at the retreat for $15. Please indicate in your registration if you are interested. If you would like the book prior to the retreat, contact UW Oshkosh Continuing Education Program Manager Julie Kiefer at
