Triple Threat: Leadership Series for High Impact Leaders

This course is designed as a three-week immersion into critical leadership skills.

Each section has at least 1.5 to 2.5 hours of online instruction, which may be taken at any time, followed by a one to 1.5-hour virtual coaching session.

Session 1: Professional Presence

Creating personal connections and developing a thoughtful, people-first approach is paramount to personal and professional success and integral to building world-class teams. Although communication is incredibly important, we are not taught people skills in school. Let’s change that by sharpening your soft skills with strategies that work!

Approximately 120 minutes of online learning plus a 60-90 minute coaching session.

Instructor Profile: Kristin Bock

Kristin is a certified body language specialist and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She has over two decades of experience in the caregiving field and has worked in a variety of positions, including a Live-in Manager at a group home, Management Supervisor, Human Resources Specialist, Training Institute Manager, and Staff Development Coordinator. Kristin has worked in the non-profit world for 25+ years and throughout her various positions has become increasingly aware of the true power of body language.

Session 2: Self-Awareness

Being self-aware is a critical element of leadership. In this workshop, participants will complete two assessments, complete online training, and participate in coaching. The first assessment is the Kirton Adaption – Innovation (KAI) Instrument which illumations the cognitive problem solving style. The second is Emotional Intelligence which provides insight into how well we manage our emotions and are aware of emotions in others. 

Approximately 120 minutes of online learning plus a 60-90 minute coaching session.

KAI with Coaching – Course Outcomes:

  • Understand your brain’s preferred approach to problem solving
  • Learn communication techniques to improve relationships (professional & personal)
  • Become more aware of how your communication positively/negatively affects others

Instructor Profile: Lorinda F. Lewis, PhD, DBA

Dr. Lewis is a scholar-practitioner, established in a wide variety of disciplines and areas of business. She has a passion for leading and developing others. She has accumulated her perspective through an unusual career trajectory that includes her experiences as a retired Air Force logistician, a continuous improvement and P&L executive of a Fortune 500 company, an adjunct professor at universities, and as a pro bono continuous improvement coach for Collective Impact Initiatives with not-for-profit agencies. She is a prominent public speaker and published academician who can translate complex ideas into relatable stories to inspire audiences of all levels. As a public speaker, she is in high demand internationally at academic and industry conferences as well as corporate leadership events. As an ICF & CCA certified executive coach, she facilitates classes, events and offers one-on-one professional development training and mentoring in public and private workshops. She is certificated to administer the Kirton Adaption-Innovation (KAI) Inventory, illuminating cognitive problem-solving styles. She is a licensed facilitator of Celemi Business Simulation Workshops, improving team member engagement and business acumen. As an adjunct faculty member at universities, she teaches business and leadership courses including organization development, lean, change management, coaching and mentoring for business, marketing, and global business strategy. Lorinda has earned a Ph.D. in Business from Northcentral University and a DBA in Quality Systems from American Meridian University.

Session 3: Powerful Conversations

Just like you can’t tickle yourself, you can’t interrupt your own thoughts. Our thoughts drive our emotions and our behaviors. When we can take a deep dive into how we think, we can improve self-awareness and create better experiences.  It all begins with a powerful conversation. Having a masterful coach listen to what you are and aren’t saying, ask discovery provoking questions, and provide edgy observations will change the way you think and shift your mindset.  Find your own path to more impact, improved confidence, and enhanced leadership.

Instructor Profile: Allison Garner, CPC, ACC, MBA

Allison is a leadership coach and consultant, founder of Align After nearly 20 years as a chemical engineer, Allison became a world-class expert in oil refining technology. In 2015, Allison realized her heart’s ambition to do more meaningful work in the world through leadership coaching and consulting by starting up Align Coaching LLC. Her clients use their coaching and consulting work with her to deepen their mastery of leadership, develop leaders within their organizations, and build high performing teams. In addition, Allison has published two books and was a TedX speaker in October 2019.
