Titan Steelband Academy

For children who love making music or keeping the beat, the UW Oshkosh Department of Music is offering the Titan Steelband Academy for youth entering grades 4–12. This musical academy, divided into beginner and intermediate levels, allows students to learn, listen and play together as they are introduced to the steelpans.

Students will be exposed to many styles of music including pop, rock, reggae, calypso and more as they explore a variety of percussion instruments, musical improvisation and songwriting techniques. Each academy closes with a youth steelband performance for friends and family.
