Improve your writing by enrolling in the Wisconsin Writers Academy!

This course will better prepare all incoming students for college-level writing.

Successful completion of the Writing Academy course allows incoming UW Oshkosh students who place into Writing 99 to request an evaluation of work completed and a review of their writing placement.

The course is self-paced and consists of 5 modules. Students have 5 weeks to complete the coursework. The course will be delivered using the Canvas learning platform, the same system utilized for University of Wisconsin classes. The course consists of short video lectures and short writing assignments. Writing coaches from the UW Oshkosh Writing Center will assist you along the way.

  • Paraphrasing: Putting material into your own words

Module B: Sources You Can Trust (Reliability)
