Businesses are looking for leaders to build strong foundations for their organizations. An Organizational Administration certificate builds on the talents of individuals, preparing them to manage an organization. Students who complete the certificate will learn how to manage employees and effectively write and communicate with colleagues.

Certificate Curriculum

Core Courses (Four courses/12 credits)

The core Organizational Administration courses focus on building leadership skills and gaining an understanding of how organizations work. Students are required to complete the following courses:

• Liberal Studies 209: Critical Thinking and Writing
• Liberal Studies 270: Writing with Purpose
• Liberal Studies 315: Managing People at Work
• Liberal Studies 325: Introduction to Organizational Administration

Elective Courses (Two courses/Six credits)

Students select the remaining two courses from a list of available options. Select a topic that is most interesting to you, or choose an area that you want to improve. Students select two courses from this list:

• Liberal Studies 302: Contemporary Technology and Trends
• Communication 322: Online Studies of Intercultural Communication
• Liberal Studies 303: Ethnicity and Demography in Wisconsin
• Communication 384: Business and Professional Speaking
• Liberal Studies 318: Ethics and Decisions in Organizations
• Communication 380: Introduction to Organizational Communication
• Liberal Studies 405: Project Planning and Implementation

How much will it cost?

Our tuition rate helps simplify the budgeting for your degree. Tuition and fees are currently $368.21 per credit.

Fees are subject to change each year. This cost does not include the cost of textbooks and materials. Courses taken outside of your degree requirements may have additional fees.

How long will it take?

Thanks to our accelerated seven-week course format, this professional certificate can be completed in as little as a year depending on your personal and professional obligations.
