Priorities previously considered:
• Develop and promote regular training opportunities for faculty advisors (modeled after HR Connections or ADA meetings)
• Consider recommendations regarding advising on the Access campuses
• Review Navigate data for key points related to advising and share broadly with campus
• Gather data across campus related to advising and attempt to centralize/summarize
• Prepare summary report to share with campus regarding state of advising at UWO
• Explore “gaps” in advising and how to close them
• Collect departmental Advising Plans and post summary to the ACCAA website
• Recognition/reward proposal for Faculty Advising
• Faculty Fellows Program
• Equating advising to SCH
1 credit = 14 hours in class
How can we equate this to advising load?
If you estimate 30 minutes per semester per advisee that would be 28 advisees per credit hour. This is a low, minimum estimate of time!
84 advisees = 3 credits
