Abstract

Teaching STE”A”M education lays a foundation of life skills because it ignites students’ imagination and creative thinking to STEM curriculum through the arts (“A”) integration. Through these 5 day STEAM lessons, students will gain scientific knowledge of the habitats of elephants through the hands-on STEM curriculum with music and movement. The STEAM curriculum will show elephants as engineers because they reshape the environment in their habitats. The elephant character I designed based on the artificial intelligence (AI)will guide a 5 day STEAM unit that correspond with one STEAM subject matter per lesson including science, technology, engineering, arts (“A”), and math. Throughout the lesson, students will collaborate with their peers to further develop their deeper understanding of elephants habitats, dietary, and their impact on the ecosystem.
