Abstract
This STEAM lesson plan entitled, “Alli the Gator” is designed for preschool students to develop their comprehension in animal science. Throughout this 5 day unit, students will gain deeper knowledge about the habitat of alligators. I incorporated my research into different lessons for the 5 categories in STEAM which include science, technology, engineering, art, and math lessons. In the 5-day unit overview, students will be given a lesson each day through the STEAM categories. I have also authored a children’s song and movement in the tune of a classical titled “This Little Piggy”. Throughout the song, it guides children through different movements that an alligator may do.
