Find Disabled Parking Options on Campus

A number of parking spaces throughout various lots on campus are designated for handicapped parking. These parking spaces are clearly marked and are restricted for use by any individual whose vehicle displays a valid handicapped permit or handicapped license plate AND has a valid UW Oshkosh permit.

UW Oshkosh parking permits can be purchased online or in our Parking Services office.

Vehicles with handicapped permits may be parked in AMP Park spaces; however, AMP Park fees must still be paid.

Handicapped permits (temporary and permanent) and handicapped license plates can only be obtained from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

State Handicapped Permit and UW Oshkosh Permit are required in Disabled Parking spaces, which are located in these lots:

*The van accessibility area of a disabled parking area (striped area) is part of the disabled space as defined by Wisconsin law and is subject to a $100 fine.

 

Motorcycles and Mopeds

Motorcycles/mopeds require permits and parking for them is available from approximately April – November (exact dates vary based on weather conditions).

Motorcycles/mopeds cannot park in regular parking spaces.  Please use the designated spaces in the following lots:

  • Lot 13
  • Lot 18
  • Lot 34
  • South Gruenhagen Area
  • High Avenue Parking Ramp

Mopeds may park at bike racks but must NOT be operated on sidewalks.

EV Charging Stations

If you have an electric vehicle, you have the opportunity to charge your vehicle while on campus.

The chargers are in two locations with a total of six units:

  • First level of ramp – Schneider Electric EV chargers
  • Lot 15 (across from Reeve) – WattStation EV chargers

Permits for charging stations are available for purchase in the Parking Services Office. View rates on the Permit Options page.
